Rewrite PLR E-books and Articles: Some Effective Ways to Get the Editing Done, With or Without You
Private Label Rights (PLR) products such as ebooks and articles are powerful resources that can make your online business more profitable. By using articles and e-books that are already researched and written, one may be able to speed up the publishing of one’s materials.
The trouble is, however, that using PLR content is not as straightforward or quick as many are trying to make it sound. For instance, those who sell PLR content, and those who do business in the PLR world, many times would like to say that the process of using PLR content is an easy road to victory. But that may not necessarily be the case.
Background
The difficulty lies in the business model: private label rights products are sold off the shelf to many individuals intending to publish online. So to avoid duplicate content penalties from both search engine robots and your prospective customers, it is necessary to rewrite the material, whether an article or an ebook, in such a way that is becomes both different and attractive to read.
The job at hand is therefore to rewrite the ebook or article considerably. One may very well decide to rearrange or delete certain paragraphs. Or one might increase already existing paragraphs. Or one may insert new arguments, reasons, questions, and answers. Anything to make the ebook or article better and more unique.
But Where Is the Time to Do It?
But you may ask yourself how to get the job done. For you may have purchased the PLR products just to keep away from having to do a lot of work in the first place. So you might now be thinking that you are looking at the very same work that you tried to steer clear of before.
But that is not the case. Of course, it is true that there is writing, rewriting and editing involved in all cases. But rewriting an already written and researched PLR e-book or article is not nearly as time-consuming as it is to create one from scratch.
And the good thing is that you may not even have to do all of the work yourself. Here are some ways of how to go on with the rewrite:
1. Using Software Packages
There are software packages in the market that can be utilized to alter (”spin”) PLR ebooks and PLR articles to make new articles and e-books. But it may be necessary to be very watchful. Some software packages might modify the “style” of the article or e-book, or use poorly chosen synonyms for phrases and words that either can transform your article or ebook into gibberish or at least make it look odd in some way.
It is therefore very important for you to always be sure to double-check “spinned” texts. You may need to manually edit the text further.
2. Appointing a Ghostwriter
It may not be economically doable for a new marketer to hire a good freelance writer to produce first-class articles and e-books that are up to date, unique, and a joy to read.
However, since you already have picked up the private label rights ebooks or articles, the task is not to write unique material from scratch, but only to do some rewriting using different words, and perhaps also expanding on a number of of the arguments here and there.
In order to be even more profitable, you could bundle a dozen or two articles at a time, or a couple of e-books. It is likely that you will get a better quote from your ghostwriter in that case, compared to if you just asked him to rewrite a single article or two.
3. Contact a Guest Blogger
You might invite a guest blogger. You could, for instance, tell him or her that you have some PLR articles that he or she could use, thus getting an article on the exact subject matter that would be suitable for your own website. This way you would not have to get actively involved in any rewriting or reworking.
The trouble with this idea is, however, that he or she may expect to get paid. Alternatively, he or she may want to post some links to their own sites or pages or products that they promote and sell. Whatever the case may be, you will have to assess each deal or arrangement individually, and see whether you can accept it or not.
4. Writing It All by Yourself
If you are one of those who really love writing, then you might think about doing all of the editing work yourself. If that is your thing, then you will not be overly panic-stricken by the amount of rewriting work that is needed, since you would know that it still is considerably less work than writing anything from nothing.
Also, doing the work yourself leaves you in total control of the product, both in terms of style and content. And since you also presumably have lots of knowledge about the subject matter, you will write the text quicker than most other freelancers around.
Final Remarks
PLR e-books and articles are great resources to use to build your online business. But the catch is that you have to substantially adjust them in order to really do well.
The good news is that the rewriting can be done in many different ways, and you may not even be required to be involved in that process. “Spinning software”, guest bloggers, and freelance ghost writers may be able to help you out, either partially or completely.
